PropFirmGrade earns a commission when you buy through links on this page. Grades are editorial and independent; commissions never change a grade or a rank.
Start with the market you trade
Every firm is graded against the same six-factor rubric, whatever it lets you trade. Pick your market and the list is already ranked.
Futures prop firms
Futures evaluations and funded accounts.
Forex prop firms
Forex, indices and metals: one-step, two-step and instant funding.
Crypto prop firms
Funded crypto trading accounts.
How to choose a prop firm
Before you buy a challenge, check four things in this order: what it will really cost, whether you can pass its rules, whether the firm pays, and who you are really buying from.
Step 1 of 4
What will the challenge cost you?
The advertised fee is where the price starts. Depending on the firm, you can be charged at three more points before your first payout, and each is often printed on a different page:
| Charge | When you pay | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Entry fee | At checkout | The price the checkout charges after any code, which is not always the one shown beside the plan |
| Monthly billing | Each month | At firms that bill monthly: how many months a realistic pass takes, not just the first month’s price |
| Activation fee | After you pass | Whether it is due before you can trade the funded account, and how it scales with size |
| Add-ons | When chosen | Paid options your strategy needs, such as weekend holding or a faster payout schedule |
The prices in our tables are the entry fee after any working code. How we add the rest is set out in the true effective price method.
Compare every challenge in your market, account size by account size:
Can a code lower the fee?
Many firms run a discount code, and some codes skip the most popular account size. Every live code we hold is listed with the price it leaves you paying and its end date where the firm gives one.
Step 2 of 4
Can you pass the challenge?
Hitting the profit target is only half the test. The other half is the set of rules that can close the account before you reach it, and every firm words them differently:
| Rule | What it does | What to read for |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum loss | Closes the account once losses pass a set limit | Whether the limit stays fixed or moves up with your profit |
| Daily loss limit | Stops trading for the day, or ends the account, after a set loss | Whether open trades count, and when the day resets |
| Consistency rule | Caps how much of your total profit a single day can make up | Whether it applies in the challenge, after funding, or both |
| Time limits | Set a minimum or maximum number of trading days | How many days count toward a pass, and what happens if you run out of time |
| Banned strategies | Rule out news trading, bots, copy trading or hedging, depending on the firm | Whether a breach costs the trade, the profit or the whole account |
Each market has its own rulebook, compared firm by firm:
Step 3 of 4
Will you get paid?
A payout promise is only as strong as the evidence behind it, so the facts we record carry one of four labels:
- Verified: seen on an account we bought with our own money, with the record on file.
- Reported: printed in the firm’s own terms, help center or pricing page, and re-read on every data release.
- Claimed: said in marketing with no rule or contract behind it. Recorded, never used to lift a grade.
- Refused: we asked and the firm would not answer, which we publish too.
Verified is reserved for our own desk tests, where we buy the challenge with our own money and trade it to a withdrawal. None has been completed yet, so the payout terms we show are reported, read from each firm’s documents.
Step 4 of 4
Who are you really buying from?
The brand on the website is not always the company in the contract. Each review answers three questions from the firm’s own terms:
The company
Which business you actually sign with, and the country it is registered in, where the terms say so.
The court
Where a dispute is heard, and whether the terms ask you to give up group claims.
The fine print
Whether the firm can change the rules, hold back profit or close an account at its own discretion.
Every finding quotes the clause it rests on and the date we read it, and a firm is asked to reply before a serious finding is published.
How is each firm graded?
Every grade starts in the firm’s own documents, not its sales page. The checks above feed six factors with fixed weights, published before any firm is scored: payout reliability 25%, rule fairness 20%, trading conditions 20%, company trust 15%, challenge value 15% and support 5%. The order inside each market follows the grade; whether a firm fits your country, size or platform is what the filters are for.
The weights and where each grade sits today are on one page, with a link to every dated change to the method.
Why trust PropFirmGrade?
PropFirmGrade exists so traders can read what a firm’s contract says, not only what its marketing says, before they buy a challenge. Four things hold for every page on this site:
- We read the contract, not the ad. Every grade comes from the firm’s own terms, rules and prices, and each finding is quoted and dated. Here is what our evidence tiers mean.
- No firm can buy a grade. Commissions never touch the rubric or the order of a list, and a partner firm can be downgraded like any other. Read our independence policy.
- You can see who did the work. The team members behind our reviews, and what each has worked on, are listed in one place: the team behind the reviews.
- Mistakes get fixed in public. Report a wrong figure and the fix is logged with its date. See our published corrections policy.
To check any of that for yourself, start with one of these pages:
How we verify a firm
What we check on payouts, grades and evidence, and what each result can prove.
What counts as a verified payout
The standard a payout has to meet before we call it verified.
Every method change, dated
Each change to how we grade, with the date it took effect.
