The short answer

Maven sells low-priced forex evaluations, and two limits matter more than the price. Withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per 30 days per trader across all accounts, and profit above that is voided, not carried forward. On standard challenges you cannot open or close a trade 2 minutes either side of major news. On Omo and Buy Now Pay Later accounts, a single 2% open drawdown cuts your split to 50% for good. The cheapest route, the 3-Step, also gives the least room.

How it works

Maven’s standard challenges differ mainly in how much room they give. The table shows the rules for each.

ChallengeProfit targetDaily lossMaximum loss
3-Step3% in each of 3 phases2%3%, static
2-Step8%, then 5%4%8%, static
1-Step8%3%5%, trailing
Instant3% before a withdrawal2%3%, trailing
  • Daily limits are set at midnight UTC from the higher of your balance or equity.
  • The 2-Step needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5% in each phase, and again before each funded withdrawal.
  • Instant accounts also breach if open trades lose 1% of the balance at any point.
  • Omo 2-Step asks 6% then 8% against an 8% static limit, with a 180-day time limit and a 150-second minimum hold. It also needs 4 profitable days of at least 0.5% in each phase, including the funded stage. Buy Now Pay Later lets you start the evaluation with a small upfront payment.
  • Mini is a single-payout account: 24 hours, one trade at a time, 70% split, then it closes. Before that one payout it needs 3% profit, a 150-second minimum hold and a 15% consistency limit on the largest single trade.

Maven’s own answers on Mini are worth reading together, because the pricing grid puts it beside the standard lines:

Only one – it’s a single payout model. After your first withdrawal, your account will be closed. […] You have 24 hours to trade on the account. The timer starts once you’ve placed your first trade. You must submit your payout within the 24-hour period.

One payout, then the account closes, inside a 24-hour window that starts on your first trade. At a similar price to an ongoing funded account, it is a different product and not a cheaper tier.

The prediction markets challenge carries a ceiling of its own:

You can generate a maximum of 3% of your starting account balance from any one question. If you generate more than this, the remaining profits will be nulled.

A correct high-conviction call pays 3% of the starting balance whatever it actually returned, and the excess is voided rather than carried forward.

How much does Maven Trading cost?

Prices for each challenge and size are in the price box on this page. Four things the box cannot show:

  • The fee comes back with your third withdrawal on the standard routes and Instant.
  • A lost funded account can be bought back, from $200 on $2,000 to $6,000 on $100,000, without a new challenge.
  • Maven usually runs a discount code, and on small Omo accounts it is a flat dollar amount, not the advertised percentage, so check the checkout total.
  • Rise payouts cost $20; direct bank transfer is offered only in a few countries.

Commissions are $0 on indices, commodities and digital ETFs.

Platforms and trading conditions

Maven offers MetaTrader 5 and Match-Trader for forex, plus a separate prediction markets challenge.

  • Forex leverage is 75:1.
  • Weekend holds are allowed on all accounts.
  • Standard challenges and funded accounts ban opening or closing trades 2 minutes either side of red-folder news, including take-profit hits. Instant accounts are exempt.
  • Omo allows news in evaluation, but caps funded news profit at 0.5% of the balance per event.
  • Your IP address must stay in one region. If it changes, Maven asks for proof, such as plane tickets.

The IP policy sets out what “proof” can mean:

Your IP address throughout your Maven journey must match the same geographical region to verify you didn’t receive outside assistance. If we see that your IP address has changed, we will ask for proof and reasoning of why this has occurred. (Proof may involve plane tickets, live location checking through another medium, or another approach that Maven sees fit.)

A trader who travels, moves or switches to a mobile network has to document their movements on request. The answer does not say what follows if the proof is judged insufficient.

The funded news cap is set out the same way, and the example is the firm’s own:

News trading is fully permitted during Phase 1 and Phase 2 with no restrictions. In the funded stage, news trading is still allowed but any profit made during a news event is capped at 0.50% of your account balance. For example, on a $100,000 funded account, you can keep a maximum of $500 in profit from any single news event, anything above that will not count toward your balance.

The rule is 0.50% of your account balance, and the $500 is the firm’s own example on a $100,000 account, so it scales with whatever size you hold. A strategy that passed the evaluation with news unrestricted meets a cap the moment it is funded. The rule you were tested under is not the rule you trade under.

The Omo news cap works per event. On a $100,000 funded Omo account, the most you keep from any single news release is $500, and anything above that does not count toward your balance. A trader who makes $1,200 on one release is credited with $500.

The prediction markets challenge has a ceiling of its own. No single question may earn more than 3% of the starting balance, and Maven says profit beyond that is nulled. If you tend to size up on the questions you feel surest about, that is the limit to watch.

The rules that matter

Maven’s loss limits are published clearly. Four rules decide what a profitable trader actually takes home.

$10,000 per 30 days, per trader

You can withdraw at most $10,000 in a rolling 30 days, counting every account you hold as one, and profit above that is voided. Maven’s scaling answer says, in two sentences side by side, both that the cap scales with the account and that it does not.

Its scaling answer, in the firm’s own words:

In order to scale, the trader must profit 10% over the course of 4 months (2.5% per month). The trader is also required to process at least 1 payout per month. Afterwards, the trader’s account will be rewarded with a 25% increase. The function is repeatable, up to $1,000,000. The max withdrawal cap scales alongside with the scaling plan. The max withdrawal does not scale along.

Those last two sentences are consecutive and they contradict each other. On a scaled account the difference is not small: a cap that grows with a $1,000,000 balance and a cap fixed at $10,000 a month are an order of magnitude apart, and the firm’s own answer supports both readings.

Maven sets the cap out in its own answer on withdrawals:

“Overflow. To ensure a prompt and efficient payout service to all our traders, we implement an overflow feature which works as follows: You are entitled to a maximum withdrawal of $10,000 per 30-day rolling cycle (per trader). If you profit more than $10,000, you will be given the maximum of $10,000. If you are trading on multiple accounts, your accounts will be treated as the same account. Your account will be reset to the starting balance after receiving the profit split. The $10,000 is calculated from the date on which you close the profit on the account. Any profits generated over the $10,000 limit will be voided. […] If your total profit exceeds $5,000, your best trading day […] or singular trade […] may not exceed 50% of your profit in the funded stage payout cycle. If you do exceed the 50%, the profits made will be contracted to the 50% mark. After exceeding $5,000 in payouts, you must participate in a risk interview with one of our analysts.”

Big days and big payouts get reviewed

Once your profit passes $5,000, no single day or trade may make more than 50% of the cycle’s profit; anything above is cut back. After $5,000 in payouts you must attend a risk interview, and a missed interview means the payout is not processed.

M2 Account Saver on Omo and Buy Now Pay Later

On these accounts, when open positions reach a 2% drawdown, every trade is closed and the split drops from 80% to 50% for the life of the account. A second time closes the account. It reacts to floating losses, so a trade that later closes in profit can still trigger it.

The firm describes what each breach costs:

“The M2 Account Saver monitors your combined open-position drawdown in real time. If your open positions reach a 2% drawdown (based on account balance), it triggers automatically: 1st breach: All open trades are immediately closed and your Profit Split is permanently reduced to 50% of your initial size for the remainder of the account. 2nd breach: All open trades are closed again and your account is permanently deactivated. There is no recovery from a second breach.”

What the routes give on a $100,000 account

The 3-Step gives $3,000 of total room and a $2,000 daily limit. The 2-Step gives $8,000 and $4,000. One day at the daily limit on the 3-Step uses two-thirds of its total room.

What Maven Trading says

Right of reply: not yet answered. This review reports two critical findings drawn from Maven Trading’s own published answers: the $10,000 rolling 30-day withdrawal cap, under which profit above the cap is voided, and the M2 Account Saver, which cuts the profit split to 50% for the life of the account on a first breach. We put both to the firm on 5 September 2026 and gave it fourteen days to respond. That window closed on 19 September 2026 and Maven Trading has not replied. Any reply from Maven Trading will be added here verbatim.

Getting paid: how does Maven Trading pay out?

Maven pays 80% on standard challenges and Instant, 70% on Mini and prediction markets. The standard routes, Instant and Mini all need the account up 3% before a payout can be requested. The rest of the rules are:

  • You can withdraw every 10 business days after your first trade on the standard routes, Instant and Omo. Mini is a single payout.
  • Instant accounts need 3% profit and must meet a 20% consistency requirement before a withdrawal.
  • Omo caps its first two payouts at 6% and then 8% of the balance, and does not cap the ones after that.
  • Scaling adds 25% after 10% profit over 4 months with a payout each month, up to $1,000,000. Funded starting capital is capped at $200,000.
  • Payouts go by Rise or other options, and by bank transfer in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.

What can end your account

These rules can end a Maven Trading account. Each comes from Maven’s own FAQ:

  • Touching the daily or maximum loss limit.
  • A 1% floating loss on an Instant account.
  • A second M2 trigger on Omo or Buy Now Pay Later.
  • Grid trading, all-in trades, excessive scalping or copying another person.
  • 30 days without a trade.
  • Using someone else’s card. Maven requires you to pay with your own card throughout.

Who can join

Maven publishes a list of 25 countries where you cannot sign up, and adds two rules that affect who can trade:

  • The 25 countries apply to every product: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo (Republic of the Congo), Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Iran, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Saint Lucia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Venezuela and Yemen.
  • One email and your own card must be used throughout.
  • Your connection must stay in one region, with proof requested if it moves.

Who you are dealing with

Maven names its company and chief executive. The table shows what it states.

DetailWhat Maven states

  • All accounts are simulated, including funded accounts.
  • The IP policy gives no stated consequence if you cannot prove a change of region.

If you travel, plan for the IP rule before you go. Maven says your IP address must stay in the same region for the whole of your time with it, to show you did not receive outside help. If the address changes, it asks for proof, and the examples it gives are plane tickets, live location checks through another channel, or any other approach it sees fit. It does not say what happens when the proof is not accepted.

On 27 August 2026, Trustpilot published no rating for Maven Trading, alongside 5,177 reviews. The profile carries a warning that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines. The star distribution showed 82% at five stars against 8% at one.

Why this grade

Three things in Maven’s contract hold its grade down. It can refuse to pay profit you have already earned. It can demand proof of where you are trading from, without saying what happens if you cannot provide it. And it advertises something its contract does not promise.

Its pricing is good and nothing counts against the company itself, but we have not tested a Maven payout or its support yet, so this grade doesn’t cover them.

AI summary

Maven Trading · what the record shows before you start

6 of 6

From the facts we hold for Maven Trading: the published profit split reaches 80%, payouts are requestable on demand, entry starts at $13, 55 trading rules are on record. This summary is assembled from the canonical record, not from the firm's marketing.

Read the full summary

The current grade is C (preliminary) under methodology firm-grade-v1.1.0. Preliminary means the letter rests on what we have read so far and no payout has been tested yet, so it can move as verification completes.

Accurate?

Our verdict

Maven offers cheap entry and clearly written rules, but a $10,000 monthly withdrawal cap that deletes the excess, strict news windows and, on Omo, a permanent split cut limit what a successful trader can take.

The cap is the number to plan around. If your payouts across every Maven account you hold would come to $15,000 in one 30-day cycle, you are paid $10,000, and Maven voids the other $5,000 instead of carrying it into the next cycle. A trader who expects that much should size and spread accounts with the cap in mind.

Best for

  • Traders who want a low-cost forex evaluation and read the rules first.
  • 2-Step traders who want an 8% static floor.
  • Traders who do not expect to withdraw more than $10,000 a month.

Avoid if

  • You trade red-folder news on a standard challenge.
  • You expect large monthly payouts across several accounts.
  • You hold positions with wide swings on Omo or Buy Now Pay Later.

Questions traders ask

What is the M2 Account Saver?

A rule on Maven’s Omo and Buy Now Pay Later accounts that watches open-position drawdown in real time. At 2% of the account balance it closes every open trade and cuts the profit split from 80% to 50% for the life of the account.

Does M2 trigger on a loss I actually took?

No, and this is the point to understand. It triggers on floating drawdown. An ordinary adverse excursion on a position a trader intends to hold, which later closes in profit, is enough.

What happens if it triggers twice?

The account is deactivated, with no route back.

How much can I withdraw?

Up to $10,000 per rolling 30 days, per trader, and anything above that is voided. All your accounts count as one. Once profit passes $5,000, no single day or trade may make up more than 50% of the cycle’s profit, and after $5,000 in payouts a risk interview is required.

Which route has the most room?

Two Step, at 8% total on a static floor. Three Step and Instant both give 3%, so on a $100,000 account that is $3,000 against Two Step’s $8,000.

Is the cheapest route the easiest?

No. The cheapest way in is the route with the least room to be wrong, and Three Step’s $2,000 daily limit means a single day at that limit uses two-thirds of the account’s $3,000 total allowance.

Facts checked: 4 to 15 September 2026 against sources on file. Coupon codes re-verified on the firm’s own site on 17 September. No payout independently verified.
