The short answer
This review covers six Goat Funded Trader lines in three shapes: three fund you straight away, two run a two-phase test and one runs a single phase. A $100,000 account costs $478 to $1,313.33 depending on which you pick, paid once, with no subscription and no activation fee.
Passing a test means reaching the profit target without breaking a loss limit. Getting paid is the harder half, and it is where the product is really decided.
You keep 80%, or 100% with a paid add-on, and the minimum payout is $100. There is no single maximum. Every withdrawal has to be for your whole profit balance, and every payout method except Rise stops at a ceiling, so above $5,000 of profit most traders have one method left.
Two more limits sit on top. A funded account can make at most $3,000 a day and anything above that is removed, and every payout loses a 3% fee. The drawdown also changes as a funded account scales, and not always in your favor.
How it works
These six lines share one checkout and one set of payout rules, but they fund you in different ways and measure losses differently. The first table shows the lines, the second the test rules, the third what changes once you are funded.
| Line | How you get funded | Account sizes |
|---|---|---|
| Instant Hero | Funded on purchase | $5K to $400K |
| INSTANT GOAT | Funded on purchase | $5K to $400K |
| INSTANT PREMIUM | Funded on purchase | $5K to $150K |
| 2 STEPS STANDARD | Two-phase test | $5K to $200K |
| 2 STEPS GOAT | Two-phase test | $5K to $150K |
| 1 STEP | One-phase test | $5K to $200K |
Funding here is simulated on every route. The firm’s help center describes the funded account as “entirely simulated” and says “We never issue real funds”, with trades that may be copied by a partnered proprietary trading firm at its discretion.
The three test lines have no time limit, and their loss limits are static, so they do not follow your balance up. Minimum trading days apply once you are funded, per payout, as the Getting paid section sets out.
| Test rules | 2 STEPS STANDARD | 2 STEPS GOAT | 1 STEP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profit target | 10%, then 5% | 8%, then 6% | 10% |
| Daily loss limit | 5% | 4% | 3% |
| Overall loss limit | 10%, static | 10%, static | 6%, static |
Once funded, the limits are no longer fixed. On the test lines they move as the account scales up; on the instant lines they trail the balance.
| Funded rules | Overall loss limit | Daily loss limit |
|---|---|---|
| 2 STEPS STANDARD | 9% to 13%, changing across six scaling steps | 5% to 8% |
| 2 STEPS GOAT | 10% to 14%, across five steps | 4% to 8% |
| 1 STEP | 6% to 8%, across three steps | 3% to 6% |
| INSTANT GOAT | 6%, trailing | 3% |
| INSTANT PREMIUM | 6%, trailing | 3% |
| Instant Hero | 5%, trailing | 3% |
How much does Goat Funded Trader cost?
Every fee here is one-time. There is no subscription and no activation fee on any line. The three lines that fund you at purchase are priced like this:
| Account | Instant Hero | INSTANT GOAT | INSTANT PREMIUM |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $17 | $108 | $158 |
| $10,000 | $106.67 | $158 | $296.67 |
| $25,000 | $240 | $318 | $563.33 |
| $50,000 | $356.67 | $488 | $813.33 |
| $100,000 | $656.67 | $815 | $1,313.33 |
The three lines with a test are cheaper at almost every rung:
| Account | 2 STEPS GOAT | 2 STEPS STANDARD | 1 STEP |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $17 | $17 | $74 |
| $10,000 | $65 | $90 | $114 |
| $25,000 | $158 | $234 | $214 |
| $50,000 | $308 | $358 | $314 |
| $100,000 | $478 | $628 | $530 |
Those five are the only sizes all six lines share. Above $100,000 the ladders split: Instant Hero and INSTANT GOAT reach $400,000, 1 STEP and 2 STEPS STANDARD stop at $200,000, and INSTANT PREMIUM and 2 STEPS GOAT stop at $150,000.
Four costs sit outside both tables:
- cTrader costs more than the other platforms, and the uplift is not the same at every account size. Check the price on the platform you intend to use before you buy.
- Resets are priced against what you paid. Resetting a failed first phase costs 7% less than buying the account again. A failed funded account costs more to reset: 50% more on 1-Step, 100% more on 2-Step and 7% less on Instant. You have 14 days after a breach to buy one, and each phase can be reset once.
- The refund term contradicts itself. Goat Funded Trader’s help center says the fee is “fully refundable when you receive your fourth payout”, and its refund policy says “there are no refunds”. Get the answer in writing before paying.
- Commission is $5 a lot on forex and metals on MetaTrader 5, Match-Trader and TradeLocker, and $0 on indices, commodities, crypto and stocks.
Platforms and trading conditions
Goat Funded Trader sells four platforms, but where you live decides how many you can use:
| Platform | Available to US traders |
|---|---|
| MetaTrader 5 | No |
| cTrader | No |
| TradeLocker | Yes |
| Match-Trader | Yes |
- The help center still names a fifth platform, Volumetrica, but the checkout does not offer it.
- You can change platform once, and only before you place any trade.
- Leverage is 1:100 on forex in the test and 1:50 once funded. Indices and commodities drop from 1:20 to 1:10, crypto stays 1:2 and stocks 1:5.
- The firm runs on a white-label prop platform, tradetechsolutions.app, rather than its own software.
The rules that matter
Three things set Goat Funded Trader’s rules apart: the room you pass with is not the room you keep once funded, one line measures its drawdown differently from the other five, and several rules take profit back without failing the account.
What a $100,000 account gives you, before and after funding
A $100,000 2 STEPS STANDARD test is conventional: $10,000 of profit in phase one and $5,000 in phase two, against a $10,000 static overall limit and a $5,000 daily limit.
Once funded, the same account’s overall limit starts at 10%, then moves between 9% and 13% across its scaling steps, with the daily limit between 5% and 8%. A trader who qualified with $10,000 of room can be trading a step where the room is $9,000. The allowance does not simply widen as you progress.
INSTANT GOAT measures drawdown from a different threshold
INSTANT GOAT carries a drawdown threshold of 0.96 where every other line uses 1.00. Ask the firm what that threshold means for your account size before buying it.
Profit you make can be taken back without a breach
Several rules take profit back or hold up a payout rather than end the account:
- News: trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news can make at most 1% of the starting balance. The rest is removed, in the test and once funded.
- Short trades: on funded accounts, profit from trades held under 2 minutes is removed when you ask for a payout. Losses from them still count.
- Weekend gaps: trades opened in Friday’s last 3 market hours and closed in Monday’s first 3 lose their profit on funded accounts.
- Consistency: no single day may be too large a share of your profit in a payout period. The share depends on the model, and until you meet it you cannot ask for a payout.
Getting paid: how does Goat Funded Trader pay out?
You keep 80%, or 100% with a paid add-on. The minimum payout is $100. Goat Funded Trader says it processes payouts within 2 business days and adds a $1,000 bonus if it misses that window, unless pending identity checks or a request for more information from you caused the delay.
Before any payout you need minimum trading days: 3 or 4 on the test lines depending on when you bought, 5 on INSTANT GOAT and INSTANT PREMIUM and 6 on Instant Hero. A day counts only if it makes at least 0.5% of the starting balance, and the count starts again after every payout.
The maximum is the part to read carefully. Each payout method carries its own ceiling, and a separate cap applies to your first two payouts.
| Payout method | Most per payout |
|---|---|
| Rise | No limit |
| Bank transfer | $10,000, and only in eight African countries |
| Skrill | $5,000 |
| Crypto | $4,000 |
The firm states the rule that turns those ceilings into a block:
“These amounts are per payout. Each payout request must be for the full profit amount in your account (GFT does not offer partial withdrawals), and you can have only one payout request pending on an account at a time.”
And clause 4.4, on holding several accounts, prohibits one thing outright and then leaves the rest to the firm’s judgment, with clause 4.5 adding what a finding of prohibited trading costs:
You are also prohibited from trading with multiple accounts of the same size to exploit market conditions or the prop firm. The Company reserves the right to determine whether trading with multiple accounts of the same size is allowed and may breach and refund some of your accounts if they do not align with our risk appetite. […] If the Company detects that your trading constitutes Prohibited Trading, your participation in the program will be terminated and may include forfeiture of any fees paid to the Company.
The same sentence allows same-size accounts and reserves the right to breach them against a risk appetite the contract never defines. A trader following the permission can still lose the accounts, and the refund covers fees, not profit.
- Above a ceiling, that method is gone. At $4,001 of profit there is no crypto payout, not a smaller one. Above $5,000, Skrill is gone too.
- Bank transfer only works in Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Cameroon and Ghana. Everywhere else, above $5,000 of profit the choice is Rise or nothing.
- The payout account must be in your own name.
- A 3% processing fee comes off every payout, after the split.
- Funded accounts can make at most $3,000 a day. Profit above that is removed.
- Your first two payouts are capped at 6% of the starting balance or $10,000, whichever is lower. On $5,000 two-step accounts bought from 25 July 2026 the cap is 4%.
- Rewards run on a 14-day cycle on 1 STEP and 2 STEPS STANDARD. You can take the first one early instead, once the account is 3% in profit, but that one reward is paid at a 40% split rather than 80%.
- Your payout method is fixed once the first request is sent, so the ceilings above are a choice you make once.
- The minimum payout is $100, and your first payout needs identity checks and a signed trader agreement.
What can end your account
These rules can end a Goat Funded Trader account. Each comes from the firm’s own help center or terms:
- Breaching the daily or overall loss limit for your line and scaling step, shown in the tables above.
- Goat Guard, twice. On funded accounts other than the instant lines, a combined floating loss of 2% of the starting balance cuts your split to 50% the first time. A second trigger ends the account.
- Hedging of any kind, including opposite positions in the same account, and especially against an account at another firm, which also means a permanent ban.
- Martingale strategies, third-party or off-the-shelf EAs, and copying trades from signals or between test accounts. Copying between your own funded accounts is allowed.
- Using a VPS on 1 Step, 2 Step, INSTANT PREMIUM or Pay Later accounts bought from 12 August 2026.
- No trade for 30 days in a row. Sharing a device with another trader is prohibited too, but the stated consequence there is disqualification from payout eligibility rather than a breach.
- Clause 4.4 of the terms. It allows trading on several accounts and, in the same clause, lets the firm breach those accounts against its “risk appetite”, with no threshold, no definition and no notice period.
Goat Funded Trader can also cap your risk at 1% of the starting balance per trade idea if it sees excessive risk, and ignoring that cap after notice ends the account. Using more than 80% of your margin counts as gambling and can cost you profit or reset a phase.
Who can join
Goat Funded Trader accepts US traders, who keep two of the four platforms. It does not accept residents of 27 countries, including some a trader may not expect: Chile, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore and South Korea, alongside Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea and others under sanctions.
Who you are dealing with
You contract with Wishes Tower International Limited, RM 1205, 12/f Beverly House, 93-107 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, company number 76428795. The Terms open with it:
“Welcome to Goat Funded Trader, a trade name of Wishes Tower International Limited, based in RM 1205, 12/f. Beverly Hse 93-107 Lockhart Rd Wan Chai Hong Kong (76428795) (the “Company”), provides you (“you” or the “Trader”) with a limited license to use the services (the “Services”) offered by the Company subject to the terms and conditions contained herein (the “Agreement”).”
- Goat Funded Trader is a trade name. The company is not named in the marketing, so a buyer pays without seeing who they are contracting with.
- A second registration number, 2025-00240, also appears in the firm’s material. Its format looks like a Saint Lucia number, but we do not assert a second company from a number’s shape.
- The Terms are a white-label template, so a clause that looks like this firm’s policy may be the platform vendor’s wording. It is binding either way.
The public rating shape deserves a sentence. On 27 August 2026, Trustpilot was withholding this firm’s aggregate score, and the profile says why. We read it first-hand on 1 September 2026: it carries a warning badge reading “This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines”, and a separate panel reading “We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” The distribution is 37% one-star against 49% five-star, which is a heavy negative tail for a profile with no published rating. A withheld rating and a hard distribution are leads, not findings.
Why this grade
Goat Funded Trader’s rules are ordinary until you try to take money out. That is where its grade comes from.
Your first two payouts are capped at 6% of your starting balance or $10,000, whichever is lower, and every payout costs 3% of itself in processing. If your balance outgrows the ceilings on the payment methods, one rail is left that can carry it, and the firm does not offer partial withdrawals to work around that. The more successful you are, the fewer ways out there are.
The account can also be closed against a risk standard the firm does not publish, under the same clause that permits what you were doing. Its own help center contradicts itself on refunds: one article says the fee comes back with your fourth payout, another says there are no refunds and all transactions are final. The consistency rule has the same problem, changing by product without being stated per product.
Everything above is about getting money out, so the one thing that would settle it is a payout followed through to the end, and none has been. The same goes for its support, and for the trader agreement a trader signs before that first payout, which is not part of what has been assessed here.

Our verdict
Goat Funded Trader is cheap to get into and hard to get large profits out of: entry prices start low and nothing bills monthly, but every withdrawal must be for the whole balance and every method except Rise has a ceiling.
Best for
- Traders testing a strategy cheaply, with one-time fees and no subscription.
- Traders who want conventional test rules: static loss limits and no time limit.
- Traders who can be paid through Rise, the one method with no ceiling.
Avoid if
- You expect to withdraw more than $5,000 at a time and cannot use Rise.
- You need your funded drawdown to stay the same as you scale.
- You trade the news or hold very short trades. Both can cost you profit.
