How to read this crypto comparison

The live list above is PFG’s starting point for the best crypto prop firms. A useful choice begins with the product model, followed by the exact route’s rules and evidence.

Product model

Crypto-native spot or perpetuals, crypto CFDs, and exchange-listed crypto futures are different products.

Program scope

Confirm the instrument, route, account configuration, stage, platform, and country before comparing a term.

Evidence

A payment rail, exchange name, terminal, integration, or data feed does not by itself prove trading access or routing.

How PFG grades crypto prop firms

Our grading criteria define how evidence is assessed and how a letter grade is ratified. A grade exists only after our team confirms it. NR means we have not assessed the firm. It is neither a low score nor an endorsement.

7 firms are in the catalogue today. 7 of these grades are preliminary: the letters can move as verification of the records completes.

  • A 0 (0%)
  • B 2 (29%)
  • C 4 (57%)
  • D 1 (14%)
  • F 0 (0%)
  • NR 0 (0%)

The distribution above is live data. It shows how every crypto firm we cover grades today, without establishing a result for any individual firm. Missing evidence stays unknown, and a material conflict stays open until evidence at the same scope resolves it.

Filter crypto firms by account size, evaluation model and price

Use the filters above the table to narrow the crypto firms by account size, evaluation model (one-step, two-step or instant funding) and price, and sort the table into the order you need.

Three things no filter can check for you, and every review answers:

  • Which coins and venues count, and which countries are excluded.
  • What stops a payout: minimums, caps, payout rails and consistency rules.
  • Which company you contract with, and where a dispute goes.

Choose the product model before the firm

A crypto-native program may provide spot or perpetual products within a crypto-market account model. A crypto CFD references a crypto asset while remaining an over-the-counter derivative. Exchange-listed crypto futures are standardized contracts with their own specifications and market structure.

Those labels classify the product. They do not establish the counterparty, account state, venue relationship, order routing, custody, pricing, fees, or trader protections. Two programs in the same category can still differ on every one of those points.

Keep instruments and rules at plan and stage

Confirm the exact symbol or contract and whether it is available on the chosen route, account configuration, platform, funded stage, and in your country. A broad instrument list cannot establish that a specific product is tradable under the conditions you need.

Map the loss reference, daily and overall breach boundaries, profit target, consistency conditions, position limits, holding rules, automation, copy trading, and prohibited strategies. Any rule that changes after evaluation or after a payout event needs a separate funded-stage reading.

Can I trade crypto on weekends?

That depends on the program, not the market. An underlying crypto market may trade continuously while a program does not: the account route can use maintenance windows, restricted hours or forced-close conditions. Reference-market availability cannot prove uninterrupted access inside the account.

Check the route’s trading hours, weekend treatment, event restrictions and price-interruption rules for the exact instrument, platform and account configuration. Holding a position through a closed window is its own question, so map the route’s holding rules and forced-close conditions before you leave a trade open. Read them all again for the funded stage, since a rule can change after evaluation or after a payout event.

Plan for continuous and volatile markets

Where a route does allow continuous trading, volatility makes the loss calculation important. Establish whether the limit follows balance or equity, whether open losses count, when a daily boundary resets, and whether the maximum-loss floor moves. A headline account size says little about usable risk without those mechanics.

Calculate cost across the whole route

Keep the entry charge, recurring billing, activation, resets or repurchases, platform and data access, trading fees, optional features, taxes, and refund treatment attached to the same route. Compare programs under one consistent completion assumption.

Is a crypto payout the same as crypto trading?

No. How a program takes your payment and how it pays you out are separate from what the account trades. A crypto prop firm is one whose current program permits trading a crypto instrument, and a crypto payment or payout option alone does not qualify it. A payment rail does not by itself prove trading access, any more than an exchange name or a data feed does.

Paying with a crypto asset does not establish a crypto trading product, and receiving an approved payout through one does not change the program’s rules, grade, or underlying evidence. To know what you can trade, check the product model: crypto-native spot or perpetuals, crypto CFDs, or exchange-listed crypto futures.

Separate payout approval from settlement

A payout path contains several gates: eligibility to request, review, approval, processing, transfer, receipt, amount conditions, and repeat eligibility. A frequent request window does not establish fast approval or delivery. A settlement option does not prove that a request will be approved.

Keep policy and observed performance distinct. Published terms establish what the operator says should happen. Delivery evidence must connect a request, decision, transfer, recipient, and relevant program. One completed transfer cannot guarantee another.

Check execution, custody and account state separately

Account state asks whether trading is simulated, live, hybrid, or unknown. Execution evidence asks how prices and orders are handled. Custody asks who controls assets, if any, and under what legal relationship. None of these answers can be inferred from the other two.

An exchange or platform name is not execution proof

An exchange may describe ownership, integration, market data, a user interface, or an intended venue. A platform may show where a trader enters an order. Neither fact alone establishes where the order goes, whether assets are held for the trader, or whether the account is live. Establish each conclusion for the exact program and stage.

Read the contract and country terms before purchase

Save the checkout summary, rules, refund terms, and agreement presented for acceptance. Identify the contracting party, incorporated documents, amendment process, termination and payout rights, dispute route, governing law, and whether the precise product is available where you live.

When a firm’s funded trader agreement is not available to us, we do not score clauses we cannot read, and we do not assume what they say. Where a firm keeps that agreement from buyers until after purchase, that counts as a finding against company trust. Once we obtain the agreement, we read it and re-grade the firm.

Use the comparison as a shortlist

Remove routes that fail a hard requirement, then use grade and evidence to decide what deserves deeper review. Keep the decision at exact-program scope. If crypto-market products are not the intended fit, return to the cross-market comparison, which covers futures and forex firms too.

Crypto prop firm FAQs

What is a crypto prop firm?

It is a prop-trading operator with a current program that permits trading a crypto instrument. A crypto payment or payout option alone does not qualify the program.

Are crypto funded accounts live?

Not necessarily. The exact program can be simulated, live, hybrid or unknown. An exchange name, platform or data feed cannot settle the account state.

Can crypto prop firms trade on weekends?

The underlying market may trade continuously while the account route uses maintenance windows, restricted hours or forced-close conditions. Check the exact instrument and stage.

Do crypto payouts make a prop firm crypto-native?

No. The settlement rail does not determine what the account trades. Product model and payout method remain separate fields.

How should I compare the best crypto prop firms?

Start with the product model and exact route. Then compare usable loss rules, full cost, payout path, execution evidence, contract and country access at the same scope.
